Java System developer

"Qred" was founded in early 2015, and is a Fin-Tech scale-up offering business loans to the entrepreneur in all industries. Our mission is to help companies grow faster, and our vision is to be the preferred alternative for fast, safe and comfortable SME financing. Presently almost 20 professionals across three countries (SE, FIN and LV), Qred is embarking on the next step in its journey, and we are now looking for Java Software Developers to our IT department located in central Riga.

Responsibilities:

• Work primarily with Java/J2EE, SQL and Git;
• Develop and maintain company backend services, accessed by thousands of businesses across multiple Nordic countries;
• Improve and extend company internal CRM tool;
• Design and architect solutions as a part of a multinational team within a flat hierarchy organization;
• Explore and integrate external APIs to improve company services.

Requirement:

• 2+ year experience in Java and server-client system development;
• Understanding of database schemas and relations. Can make SQL queries with different type of joins;
• Experience in business system development, web security and come from the financial sector are good to have but not required;
• Higher education in IT science or related;
• Ability to organize work, take initiative and a high sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work effectively with little supervision;
• Understand business needs and ability to translate business requirements into reliable and practical solutions;
• Good English (verbal and written) and Latvian.
