Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Organize accounting activities of the Company, including the development of staff and establishment of goals and objectives for team;
• Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions;
• Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries;
• Assist accounting staff with questions and generating computer reports and statements;
• Responsible for review and preparation of payroll records and processing of payroll checks;
• Maintains fixed asset records and control;
• Processes depreciation calculations monthly;
• Participates in career plan development for subordinates;
• Liaises with auditors, external accountants, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Requirement:

• Previous experience in Accountant, Chief Accountant or other related position;
• Knowledge of IFRS standards;
• Previous experience in work with accounting system (any);
• Very good English and Latvian language knowledge;
• Russian language knowledge will be considered an advantage;
• High sense of responsibility;
• Friendly, with strong ability to adjust and build rapport.
