Job summary:
Leading a team of business intelligence developers, data scientists and data specialists;
Planning data projects, and initiatives;
Building market competitive business intelligence solutions and analytical capabilities;
Overseeing the development and management of analytical systems, predictive models, and data visualization tools;
Ensure alignment of business data needs, products and business goals;
Implementing and managing data governance in accordance with company IT governance policies and procedures;
Supervising day-to-day analytics operations within the company and ensuring seamless integration with other departments;
Providing innovative solutions for business needs using data science tools;
Ensuring data quality and integrity through rigorous testing, documentation, and validation processes;
Overseeing reporting operations and ensuring the timely delivery of accurate and insightful reports to stakeholders;
Ensuring the technical quality of all data operations by maintaining high standards and best practices;
Providing business stakeholders with domain-tailored conclusions based on the insights obtained from data;
Developing required guidelines (documentation), drive data culture, educate, train and advise internal/external users;
Identifying business cases for use of data analytics and data science, new revenue opportunities through more effective and innovative use of data, technology and best practices e.g. automation for transaction monitoring, ML (machine learning) solutions for fraud detection, decision intelligence, merchant credit risk exposure models, predictive model for card scheme costs, experimental data models etc;
Staying up to date with technologies and trends that can help the company advance the data strategy;
Staying informed about Visa, Mastercard and regulatory trends to anticipate future products or use cases of data related projects with the company.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field;
Experience as a developer;
Proven experience with ETL processes and tooling, including hands-on experience with industry-leading ETL tools;
Proficiency in working with Pentaho and other business intelligence platforms;
Solid grasp of SQL and other database query languages, as well as experience with NoSQL databases;
Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams in a data-driven environment;
Understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence concepts and their applications in business;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices for data governance.
