Responsibilities:
Organize accounting activities of the Company, including the development of staff and establishment of goals and objectives for team;
Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions;
Responsible for monthly and year end closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries;
Assist accounting staff with questions and generating computer reports and statements;
Responsible for review and preparation of payroll records and processing of payroll checks;
Maintains fixed asset records and control;
Processes depreciation calculations monthly;
Participates in career plan development for subordinates;
Liaises with auditors, external accountants, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Requirement:
Previous experience in Accountant, Chief Accountant or other related position;
Knowledge of IFRS standards;
Previous experience in work with accounting system (any);
Very good English and Latvian language knowledge;
Russian language knowledge will be considered an advantage;
High sense of responsibility;
Friendly, with strong ability to adjust and build rapport.
